Gavin's got a new set of wheels!!!

In August of this year, We got our hands dirty with a fun project, Our future Ring Bearer LOVES him some cars... take note:So, Drew and I had seen a few pinterest car re-do's here and there over and over again, and we knew my neighbor's soon to be 5 year old daughter was going to outgrow her cozy car sooner than later, knowing that Gavin's first birthday in August was on it's way we got to thinking..
what if we were able to turn this...
into this?!
We immediately headed to pick up paint, we purchased Krylon Fusion for Plastic.
We used, Patriotic Blue, Flat White, and Clear.
(I will say the plastic paint bubbles, and the regular spray paint does not, this project could not have been completed without my dad's wonderful spray painting skills and he added regular Krylon spray paint in white we already had at home to do Gavin's seat... the plastic paint gets rough and gains texture when dry... IMPORTANT FACT)
First, we followed this demonstration, at first, I wanted to take step by step pictures, trust me... it was a thought over and over again... this being said, We live in Las Vegas, NV and the average low in Vegas is 74 (which is a lie) and the average high is 103, which is also a lie... it's hotter than Saudi Arabia in my brick paved backyard, and I know it... but thanks Vegas.com for the weather report.
Any who, back to this demonstration,.. It was perfect, we also checked out the following sites for information, ideas, and help : Pink and Green Mama, Consignment Mommies, and especially Moody Girl Projects... because painting the seat pure white... would have been a pure disaster without an old sheet.
You may notice, Gavin's Car does not look like the normal Cozy Coupe Car... because he has the Step 2 Toddle Tune Coupe, this means... it sings songs when you honk the horn... (you are welcome Jeremy & Heidi) Thankful that the wonderful friends over at Step 2 are so wonderful and helpful, we called them and told them we were doing a makeover on the car, and they sent us brand new stickers FOR FREE :]. No hassle, No headache... when we have children, they will be getting business from us, and my parents... (Thank's mom for making the call!)
A special thanks to the ladies at BSN Signs and Decals at the Las Vegas Indoor Swap Meet, I've never been too proud to say I'll go to the swap-meet for custom items... You've seen me in a custom shirt, you can bet I bought it there, and paid 70% less than I would have anywhere else, If you've seen the peace sign logo on the back of my car... those two wonderful women made it happen! I approached them and again they helped me as a long time friend who has brought plenty of business to them throughout the years... we got Gavin written in AWESOME big boy letters for the front, and a dragon on the back... this is a snapshot of Gavin's Nursery... filled with Dragons, and his middle name is Drake, his daddy is a fan of Dragon's and so be it... Drake means Dragon, so the decals were perfect!!!
