... the future father of my children;

Image
There was a time, about a year ago, this time… when Drew watched me dice strawberries and bananas for chocolate fondue and chocolate dipped bananas the next day, it was about his second time he’d ever seen her and we were getting ready for her 3 rd birthday party. The conversation played out like this: Aubrey: Miss. Apee, Can I have some strawberries Capri:  Yes you may, (gives her 3 strawberries) take them to your table babygirl Aubrey: (leaves, and comes back about 2 minutes later with babydoll in hand) those were sooo yoummy… can I have more please? Capri:  Yes you may… would you like 3 more? Aubrey:Yes! Capri:  would it be even better if I gave your baby 3 too, so you could both eat them? Aubrey: Yes, my baby would love that, she loves strawberries! … On this day, little to my knowledge. Drew’d mentally promised himself, he knew at that moment, irregardless if we’d been dating for only four months… He wanted what he just saw to re-occur years ...

Backup Camera used for Infant Carseat!

Image
The Pioneer backup cameras reserve the ability to show real time camera view while in drive or reverse, which allowed our friend Jeremy to hook up their backup camera to the back of his truck's headrest in the backseat towards his infant, so they could see them while driving. Check out this system! What a great idea!  There's a nice package available at AudioVideo4me.com

Thomas and Abby's first day of school!

Image
Thomas - 7 First Grade  Abigail - 5 Kindergarten A first day of school prayer for the little ones. I wonder what you're doing now, And if everyone is treating you kind. I hope there is a special person, A nice friend you can find. I wonder if the teacher knows Just how special you are to me. And if the brightness of your heart Is something she can see. I wonder if you are thinking about me, And if you need a hug. I already miss the sound of your voice  And how you give my leg a tug. I wonder if you could possibly understand How hard it is for me to let you grow. On this day know that my heart breaks For this is the first step to letting you go.  -Author Unknown (to me  anyway )   Good luck kiddos!

Totally blessed!!

It has been forever since I have had a chance to post something. At this time a few months ago I was looking for a summer job and I was not sure if i was going to be able to find any work. Well by the grace of God not only did I find one job I found two! Life has been so crazy and busy but you know what I would not trade it for anything I have learned so much about myself and my relationship with my amazing girlfriend Capri. We make the best of the time we get tot see one another and it makes it that much more special. This summer has been very eye opening for me that I have truly experienced all struggles and triumphs. This past weekend I had some down time to reflect on what my summers use to be like just 5 years ago. They consisted of football practice and two a day practices, at that time it seemed like the worst thing in the world. Well now I miss those "tough times." It is a true statement growing up does creep up on you before you realize it you are considering your fu...

Losin' it with Jesus, Day one

Image
I and my good friend Ashley, This girl right here ...  are gym buddies... We met at church a year ago, I watch over her children while she's at church staff meetings, and then traditionally we hang as friends on weekly outings and occassions. She's had three children, (still looks great) and weighs less than me! I've just battled a lot with food, and exercise since my teen years, I'll go up, and come wayy down... none the less we encourage one another to show up and provide accountability for one another at the gym... which is AWESOME minus the fact that recently I've been in a BAD eating rut... I'm constantly looking for the tomorrows... and the next month's, weeks, whatever. Bottom line... I've got a wedding in March of 2013 to attend in LosAngeles... I'm looking to be about 60 lbs lighter than I am now. I know, 60's a lot... I mean that's almost impossible without determination, that's about 2 lbs a week, easy? NO... possible?...

I have been blessed...

Image
God, first and foremost thank you for giving me such a good man, and I mean, good is an understatement… Thank you so much with all of my heart for my sweet love. I love Drew so much because mirroring your love for me… isn’t comparable… but showing my love for others because of my ability to love you, is elementary. Through the grace of god, I am able to love a man who loves me so much, I have not one worry about placing my future in his hands, under his care, willingly, faithfully, and trustfully. There isn’t one worry I cast onto him, that we don’t prayerfully discuss… iMarriage, saved our relationship. Thank you Hudson’s! My desires are a constant priority of Drew’s, and Vice versa… I am such a better girlfriend, now that I know how to care for his needs, and help supplement his want’s… in a HEALTHY way. I am so grateful I don’t depend on my looks, my money, my body, my materialistic possessions to keep you around. I am so thankful that I don’t need your approval to lea...

30. List 10 things you would hope to be remembered for.

Image
Making a difference In the future:  Becoming a mother In the future:  Loving my husband Being a loyal friend Being missional and sharing the gospel with others Serving others with my heart not my expectations Contributing to lowering the death rate with the presence of seat belts Being known as someone who truly loved interacting with humans, especially those under age 10. Living amongst a blessed family who is thankful for one another The knack and ability I possess to make people laugh and bring comfort. to end this happy 30 day challenge, I'll end with a Carrie Underwood tribute, towards remembering great times...

29. What do you think people misundertand most about you?

Image
... the most misunderstood thing about me... how well my life is held together in public... A lot of friends look to me as a "inspirational role model", a lot of adults look to Drew and I as a "different couple," a lot of children look to me as being "the perfect babysitter," a lot of my co-workers and partners see me becoming "the next Oprah," newsflash; I don't have it all together, and I probably never will. I guarantee you I will let you down, if you look to me as the answer to anyone’s problems…I'm not done grieving... but I do a good job of hiding it... that's not healthy, I'm not at my goal weight... or even in my BMI for that matter, also-unhealthy... I promise you by living your relationship in desire of Drew and I’s success… it will probably fail because, we have hiccups too! I will probably be the mother who inserts a dropped teething toy back into her child’s mouth without running it under the sink at least onc...

28. What is your love language?

Image
I'm not going to give my own description because Drew and I did a good job figuring out our love languages with Gary Chapman a few months ago... I'll just copy and paste his own definitions onto this post :] haha, mine is...“acts of service” – doing something for your spouse or significant other that you know they would like for you to do. Cooking a meal, washing dishes, taking out the garbage, mowing the lawn, changing the baby’s diaper, and painting the bedroom, etc. If this is your spouse’s primary love language, nothing speaks as loudly as these acts of service. You may give him or her words of affirmation, but they are thinking, “Cut the talk. If you loved me, you would do something around here.” For them, actions truly speak louder than words. Jesus gave a simple but profound illustration of expressing love by an act of service when He washed the feet of His disciples. In a culture where people wore sandals and walked on dirt streets, it was customary for the serv...

27. What is your favorite part of your body and why?

Image
I was recently asked this question by a friend, more in the frame of... "what is your greatest asset"... I'm a very modest human... so, my favorite part underneath skin... would be my calves... they're amazing... (Thanks mom & dad for those years of soccer, gymnastics, dancing, and swimming) :]... but externally... My great hair and eyelashes [:

26. What popular notion do you think the world has most wrong?

Image
Hate, too many Americans blame their Hate in the name of God… In our current, ego-identified level of consciousness, most of us can hardly face our ordinary human responsibilities, let alone the ultimate responsibility of living as the Godly creatures we truly are or at least the ones we claim to be. Furthermore, we don't want to face the IMPLICATIONS of how uncomfortable we REALLY ARE with our ego-driven lifestyle; how much better we actually KNOW than what our behavior suggests; how much it pains us to be selfish; and how many problems it really causes. We're attached to our self-centered ideas, desires, and ways of doing things. It is said, "Know the truth, and the truth will set you free." But, if the price of freedom is to give up our egotistical habits and false ideas -- which it IS -- WE DON'T WANT the truth that sets us free. We're like a man who's married to an ill-tempered wife. She's making his life a living nightmare, but he...

25. If you could have dinner with anyone in history, who would it be and what would you eat?

Image
If I could dine with anyone... I'd dine with Audrey Kathleen Hepburn… If and when Drew and I ever have a daughter, he’s elected her name be Audrey… because of my love of this famed beauty. Audrey Hepburn is such a timeless woman. I’m sure my hello speech would go something like this… Hello Mrs. Hepburn… I am in complete awe of your formal attire this evening, you look absolutely stunning.. of course, order before me darling (that’s the way I’d say it too) I'll have nothing but water because with these butterflies, I'll have no idea how to keep food down... and then I’d follow it up with: I ’m positive I’m not your biggest fan, but I know I come close… I think it’s amazing that you touched America’s history and lives of humans everywhere by your presence. I’ve always been in inspired by your glamour; your thoughts that have been quoted over the years are a fresh breath of inspiration. Your motion pictures are what get me through my sick days, I literally throw Sabrina in...

Growing up with my mom, dad, and sister? - Amazing, arguless, healthy, fun, inspirational, awesome, blessed, fantastic. Living with my grandma..only and simply because of my grandma’s brain surgery: Painful, argumentative, stressful, hard, difficult, painstaking, uncomfortable, drama-filled…

22. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 15 years?

Image
I find this to be an interesting post after pastor Jeremy Martin's service yesterday preaching from the book of Job. Jeremy spoke about how we none of us are in control of our future and how God wants to make plans for us and carry us through our days as we support the dreams he's created, we know inevitably it doesn't matter what our plans are infinitely god will always provide faithfully and prayerfully... but in our human worldly minds of how we believe everything will work out...  this is my blueprint typed and deletable... 5 years, - Happily Married… Living wherever the Air Force Takes us, working hard in a communications position… enjoying life 10 years, - Mother of two, still happily married, we may still be moving around by this time in the air force, I’ll have a swaggon like Ash Newell’s :], and I’ll have a job working with broadcasting 15 years, - Kiddos both in private schools, we’ve stopped moving because the oldest...

A day with our ring bearer...

Image
Love those thighs! So a few weeks ago, Drew and I’s Ring Bearer came to Drew's house to spend the day with us…  His name is Gavin… I’m sure some of you who don’t know us very well are curious about how we’re un-engaged and already have a chosen ring bearer… Well, to put it simply: we’re planners, we plan ahead for everything, we accept and appreciate that God’s plan acquires timing, we focus on having a marriage more beautiful than our wedding though our dreams are supported by many blessings in the form of family and friends… as we count down the days, months, and years until our wedding… we reflect on our currently built bridal party… Gavin is our sweetheart, my chubber bubbs, our Duncan Doughnut… We adore him, The definition of a Ring Bearer entails, “ he   is the classic image of a young boy dressed like a man carrying a small pillow. ” Drew and I admire Gavin and his family… a lot of prayers were made for 14 years for Gavin! Finally, they succes...
