Drew's 22nd Birthday

Image
We went out to dinner, and on our way to the car I was able to partially surprise Drew with celebration confetti… you see; our anniversary is the day after his birthday so not many surprises go unplanned around this time of the year… The confetti failed to deploy and we had to manually shake it out and he still made it seem as if I did the best job ever… Our good friend Jodee from our church was sweet enough to buy us tickets to Disney on Ice in honor of a small returned favor. This being said, we were engaged on the Ice while she was out of town and this was the perfect gift for Drew’s birthday dinner. We figured… We love Disney, Love Ice skating, definitely love a good show… and it did not disappoint. It’s amazing how much more you enjoy things like this without children, we were able to come, have a good time… laugh and leave without being siphoned for 30$ light up swords, or 20$ ice lemonades… and though regardless if we were sharing the night with little ones or not… we woul...

One year of life down for our Godson

It was a busy and delightful weekend! Our Nephew (one of my best friend/bridesmaid’s) Son’s… celebrated his first birthday! He is our niece’s… (Drew’s biological) first baby friend. They flirt, they laugh, they play… they are adorable! She plays hard to get… he plays hard to keep away, it’s too much! None the less… for his Mickey Mouse party we decided they were to wear his and hers Mickey and Minnie outfits! They were wheeled into the party on a classic Red Wagon and celebrated with no tears and lots of clapping! Later on they each enjoyed some pool time and good food and snacks! Bree and my mom did a phenomenal job decorating the party, though I had to leave early to celebrate Drew’s 22 nd birthday in the same day! We had an amazing time regardless!!!

Easter 2013

Our first Easter was separately spent because his sister ended up getting married on April 8th which last year fell on Sunday... we all went to church, and then to their ceremony and split in different ways for their reception and our dinner... this year, we all went to church together as traditional as a family... So excited to see the life of christ lived out in disciples who chose to follow Jesus this past sunday at Grace Point! 32 lives were given to God yesterday and that is such a huge praise!  Drew and I continued to serve throughout the regular time at church, then we went home and made dinner- Ham, Mashed potatoes, Gravy, Yams, macaroni and cheese, a killer first time salad bar, and Two homemade apple pies and ice cream for dessert! so thankful and so blessed to have a full table at my parent's house this Easter! Danica's easter basket was filled with annies organic bunnies, stuffed animals, and multiple pink,...

... The 2 year Engagement

Since I hadn’t blogged in four months, I had to catch everyone up on everything leading up to this day, Multiple things, people and moments went into this proposal and I don’t want to leave any details out… I’ve had to tell the story numerous times and I don’t get sick of it and won’t get sick of it.. but if you’re more of a visual person… here it goes… Drew’s mom had invited me to breakfast on Tuesday March 26, 2013. It was an overcast but warm day so I’d decided to wear a dress and a sweater, as I’d walked to my car… my father who was standing in the front yard complimented my outfit and then said… “aren’t you and drew going to a hockey game tonight?” I said yes…he responded “well, you want to look nice… don’t dress down.. just dress nice” I said… okay dad, will you be here so I can run my outfit by you before we go? He accidentally responded “I guess I’ll be at the hockey game too” Now let me add… my dad CAN’T STAND live sports.. or televised sports…. I became a Hockey Fan on...
