The interns who left a legacy...

Drew and I were given the opportunity to watch my girls: my Interns for my old job as an Administrative Assistant at a local grief center graduate today. It’s weird… sometimes; God places people in your life to help you understand the beauty of their presence in your life. Sometimes they come in the form of elders, or old neighbors, crossing guards, or your coast guard neighbor home from Iraq. In times he’s the stay at home dad in line at Target or the Workaholic mom at Jamba Juice… though all of the people you meet hold one evident truth… They are in fact a gift to your presence; whether likable or untrustworthy, beautiful or challenges; they all are humans who God loves… and has placed them before us for unknown reasons….  The four following girls are my interns; these girls mean so much to me… Over the last year and in key - from last summer to last Christmas, these girls have walked into my life and into my heart. They all carry different stories, backgrounds, families, boys, and personalities though they too are loved by God. They are loved by one another; they are the backbones to each other’s skeletal structures, the laughs when one is crying and the shoulders when one is shifting. I love their picture of friendship. I myself, had 4 best friends the day I graduated High School, in time it has dwindled. Quality over quantity, jobs, time, life, death, and marriage has separated a few though new ones have stepped in… life is about creating memories with those you love… these girls have the world as their oyster… and I can’t wait to see the memories they create alongside one another on their own journeys through life.

Aysia, Myself, Kiran, and Tatiana (CeCe came out 10 minutes later)

CeCe & Myself!

Boyfriend and I!

Girls at their Senior Prom 2012

Alphabetically;

Ays
Aysia C. – I am so proud of your accomplishments, I admire your honesty and your grace. You are gorgeous… I swear I see so many traits of my best friend in you, I see her tenacity and her passion, I see her sense of fashion and her desire to find a good man… Someday your prince will come, I promise.. When he does… you’ll know it! Your dreams are so big… but by no means does this mean impossible, this means you will have to do twice the work to keep up and have equally as much love for your passion for your future business as you do for your life. I love the way you live… remember, you only get one shot at life baby girl… if you do it right, once is enough!

CeCe
Cecilia V. – I am so impressed by your drive, I love the way you have such a blunt but true love for those in your life… you are not afraid to protect your heart or anyone around you, you make very smart decisions and though you’re young… you live responsibly.  You are simply beautiful and I can’t wait to see you soar. I am truly sad you and your family are moving so far away, but we will work something out… fly all 4 of us out to you or fly you to us once everyone is in town?! I know which way is cheaper! Even if I paid for it! Once a summer, If everyone comes back into town, I’ll uphold my promise darling <3

Kiran
Kiran D. – I am so inspired by your courage, I wish I could die and come back ½ the person you are… I am so impressed by your upcoming journey to India! School will be hard at times, away from home, your girls, the boys, your comfort zone… BUT only the strongest accomplish their goals in the hardest ways… be aware of the brick walls love… they are not set up so you are unable to conquer them… they are there to keep those out who do not want their goals bad enough… You are flawless, from your head to your toes I know the boys will say, do, think, want other things for you than you may want for yourself… remember you were born with two ears, and two eyes and only one heart for a reason… Listen carefully, look modestly, and trust few… you’ll be just fine little mama!

Tatiana
Tatiana S. – I am so thankful for your determination. I am happy of all of my girls, at least one of you is staying in vegas, Drew said himself… I might end up quite sad if you all left and I was left her to prosper on my own but I am very happy to have you here. I am anxious to see you walk through life and changes, trust me… there will be huge changes in the coming years, your growth is endless. I see so many gratifying qualities in yourself I know you will enjoy college. You live with the perfect ambition to be glamorous and you are the prime definition of what a young woman should encompass. I am excited for those Med-School Graduation tickets in a few years… save two for us sweet girl.

I know you all have had your fair share of ups and downs the last 4 years though as I’ve said before I’ll always be here for you no matter what.

You're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So...get on your way!
