Monday nights with the nephew and his mother...

I discovered the other day, The grief center Drew and I volunteer at Monday Night's is 10 minutes away from a dear friend's house... She has a two month old son named Brody, and Drew and I were at the hospital the day he was born, As a matter of fact, not only was Brody the first baby Drew'd ever held the day the infant was born, Brody was the first "Family Friend Nephew" We acquired. I believe I'll be stopping by their home every other Monday for a year! haha <3

We love him dearly, so while Drew was visiting with out of town family... I went over to Bre's house to visit with her family and our "Phew"
So, this is Brody in his wonderful Snugabunny Bouncer from his Grandpa... and the blanket in which his mom crocheted for him before he was born...

and this is his mommy's hands, while she was trying to show me on how she'd crochet'd his blanket ... and me still being completely confused but awesomely struck in utter disbelief by the pure beauty and talent of which comes from these wonderful handmade gifts... I began to tell her of all of the pinterest pinners who would love her work AND THEN it got better...
She busted out tons of finished products she'd been working on for her family, We started discussing all of the wonderful things she has crafted during her pregnancy and nesting period.... she makes Heating & Cooling Pads, Burp cloths with wonderful pockets, AND a wonderful nook case... Can I just say... when she gets an ETSY or EBAY page, I will be doing Giveaways and mass promoting! So blessed to have such talent in my friend's blood!

Your 2nd Birthday

  Bryer boy, Bryer boy. I cannot believe you are two. I will never forget the night I went into labor with you. I went to the hospital around 10 or 11 o’clock at night on the 23rd. I remember thinking, I can’t believe he’s doing this to me. Your dad said you could come any day, and of course, you chose a day that will forever confuse me when it comes to your birthday and your actual birth date. Your eighth birthday

  Audrey Kaydence. Today you are 8 years old. Holy cow kid. You made it to 8. Time goes faster than what I would deem appropriate but all in all you have had quite some LIFE in your years. Let’s recap the last year shall we?  You switched schools in February, which was a challenging decision, but a good one you were at a much smaller school now with a much smaller network of friends and it is healthier for you.  Your blonde hair is still blonde and your eyes are still this gray blue green. They change all the time primarily gray and green sometimes blue and green still very light still very curly. You have more freckles now than you ever have before and I am admiring watching your face with glasses as I know that contacts are coming soon to help with your myopia. You will always be my baby.
