A day with our ring bearer...
Love those thighs!
So a few weeks ago, Drew and I’s Ring Bearer came to Drew's house to spend
the day with us…
His name is Gavin…
I’m sure some of you who don’t know us very well are curious about how we’re
un-engaged and already have a chosen ring bearer… Well, to put it simply: we’re planners, we plan ahead for
everything, we accept and appreciate that God’s plan acquires timing, we focus on having a
marriage more beautiful than our wedding though our dreams are supported by many blessings in the form of family and friends… as we count down the days, months,
and years until our wedding… we reflect on our currently built bridal party…
Gavin is our sweetheart, my chubber bubbs, our Duncan
Doughnut… We adore him, The definition of a Ring Bearer entails, “he is the classic image of a young boy dressed
like a man carrying a small pillow.” Drew and I admire Gavin and his family… a
lot of prayers were made for 14 years for Gavin! Finally, they successfully conceived
and delivered this sweet sweet baby a few weeks after Drew and I first attended Grace
Point, from then on… we had our eye on him because their story was in our hearts,
what a wonderful display of how great God is… and to have him in our wedding,
be friends with his family, love him unconditionally?!
What?! Not possible?!...
but it is was…
Then... now Fast Forward 11 Months...
which brings us to; July 27, 2012… Gavin’s mom and dad were going
on a wonderful vacation with the rest of their family, Gavin’s First trip to
the beach that weekend, and Gavin in his {Crawling like a champ,
Curious Mind, Ability to stand supported, and fast legs lacking a patella}
glory, would’ve been a handful with his parent’s trying to load a van and watch
him at the same time, SO we asked them to drop him off while they packed up, he spent the afternoon
with us.
He enjoyed the princess and the frog in the background!
Thankfully, Drew’s mom’s house is baby proofed for Danica…
or else we’d have him at my house… which has travertine flooring for half an
acre… and only carpet in bedrooms…
(for those of you who don’t know… it looks similar to this,
but is absolutely beautiful…. But we’d never encourage anyone (not even my future children) to crawl on it... good thing they make these)
We Played with his Drums, (featured solo at the bottom)
He ate, by the way…. Plum
Organics Banana Berry Beet, a new favorite.
He’s even left handed and stubborn like Drew when it comes to having
happiness in both hands
To end the evening we bathed him because all of the crawling
and snacking and playing got him dirtier than we’d expected… how can you not
love that face… he gives the sweetest kisses and loves too.
Drew's Silly!
After bath, lotion, playtime, and some serious Denver Broncos history learning about Drew's Favorite team, His mom and dad came to pick him up and they were off on the road...
We welcome their little guy back anytime… he is the man!
(I didn’t specifically search for this image… but he’s totally getting that on a shirt)
